"God created you already whole and enough. Believe. Trust. Have Faith."
This quote is beautiful because often, we may think we're not whole and enough. You may tend to feel like you have to be a certain way or check the "I have it all together" box to answer the questions, who am I, and what is my purpose?
At times, I tended to self-sabotage and said things, such as, "oh, you know, I will never amount to anything" or "I will not be able to deliver because of me." Why?
Because I did not believe in me or who I was, which is a child of God. I didn't realize that being whole and enough is an innate feature of how God created me, of how God created us.
So, how is this possible to be born whole and enough? Well, I have to bring in another quote, a Bible verse, specifically Jeremiah 1:5. God says, "Before you were in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart. I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." What a powerful verse. For me, what that means is God has a special calling on our life. We are here for a reason. You are here for a reason.
It's funny because I came across this verse from one of my mom's favorite gospel song played all the time growing up, "I Wanna Be Yours" by Fred Hammond. The first two lines are, "Before the world was made, you knew me. Before I knew my name, you called."
When it comes to knowing that there's a purpose for you, and you are here for a reason, there should be constant joy within.
But here's the issue. The issue is not knowing about the fullness and wholeness that's within us.
So, we have to become aware and walk in our own truth. At times the work of becoming aware of who you are and walking in your own truth is challenging because unlearning what we know to relearn what we don't know or relearn what we do know but have yet to start or continue is no small task.
I encourage you to reflect and ask yourself two questions, friend.
What truth(s) are you telling yourself?
What truth(s) do you want to say to yourself?
My hope is you begin and continue to know you are worthy, and you are no mistake.
Even if you try to run away from your purpose, even if you're in denial of where you are or who you are, God created you already whole and enough.
You have to believe, trust, and have faith. You are not alone.
I'm a firm believer in taking notes, so jot down the two questions, ask yourself the questions, reflect and write down what's coming up for you.
If you feel moved to do so, share or comment on what resonated with you and how you will begin to know you are enough.
Until next time, much love and light to you.
I believe in you and validate you, friend.
